Sibford School is committed to helping more young people reach their potential and encouraging them to achieve their aspirations whatever these might be.
We offer a limited number of means-tested bursaries for which families of prospective students from both Quaker and non-Quaker families may apply. For current pupils whose families encounter unexpected difficulties, short term emergency bursary support may be available in exceptional circumstances.
Bursaries are not dependent on particular academic or creative achievement. They are, however, subject to annual testing of parental means and may be varied upwards or downwards depending on parental circumstances.
Sibford School’s bursary funds are very limited therefore competition for bursary funding is always strong and only given in exceptional circumstances; simply meeting our financial criteria for a means-tested bursary does not guarantee an award being made.
An independent company, Bursary Administration Ltd (BAL) will review and assess the application and arrange to visit you. Depending on their assessment of your application, the Bursary Committee may propose an award against day fees only (but not on any extra charges).
Applications for bursary assistance are reviewed annually and we will contact existing bursary holders towards the end of Spring term to request updated information. We will also work with BAL during this review process.
More information can be found in our Bursary Policy.
Bursary applications for entry in September 2025 close on Friday 25 October 2024 for Year 7 applicants. However, a second deadline of Friday 31 January 2025 remains for late applicants, and those not entering Year 7. Applicants are required to complete and submit all forms to our admissions officer by this date in order to be considered. We may be unable to consider applicants made after this date.
