Extended Day

Sibford School has a range of after school activities and clubs available to our pupils in both the Prep and Senior school

Clubs

Junior School

The Junior School day runs from 8:30am to 4:00pm (4:15pm on Fridays). Outside of these hours we are able to offer the following care:

Before school

Children can be dropped off for supervised early morning care at any time between 8:00am and 8:30am. Supervised care is run in two separate spaces with Foundation and Key Stage 1 children together, and Key Stage 2 children together.

After school

Children staying after school have a short break once school ends where we provide a small snack. Depending on age, children can then attend the following activities which run from 4.20pm until 5.20pm:

  • Foundation and Key Stage 1: supervised care. More information here
  • Key Stage 2: a wide range of extra-curricular clubs are on offer. In addition, we also run a supervised prep session.

Children can also booked in for tea at an extra cost and be collected at 6:00pm. Tea should be booked at least 48 hours in advance by contacting the Junior School office on 01295 781265.

Senior School

The Senior School day runs from 8:40am to 4:15pm, after which pupils are free to leave (mini-buses depart at 4.25pm and coaches at 4.30pm). Outside of these hours, pupils have the following options of care:

Before school

Pupils can attend a number of clubs before school, then stay for breakfast if required, for a small fee. Breakfast should be booked at least 48 hours in advance by contacting main reception on 01295 781200.

After school

After school prep sessions run Monday to Thursday for Years 7 and above from 4.30pm to 5.45pm. Pupils are provided with squash and a snack beforehand. Pupils in Years 7-13 who choose to remain for prep will not be permitted to leave before 5:45pm.

Pupils can also booked in for tea at 5.45pm at an extra and be collected at 6:30pm. Tea should be booked at least 48 hours in advance by contacting main reception on 01295 781200.

It is paramount that we know where every pupil is at all times therefore a register is taken at the start of each prep and activity session. Any absences are followed up by the prep team.

No pupil should be in school after 4.30pm unless we have been informed beforehand and they have registered in the school office prior to their activity or with their supervised prep teacher.

If a child is unable to attend a session that they have signed up for, parents must notify the office in good time so that the register can be amended. Our after school programme is not a ‘drop-in’ option and pupils who have chosen to attend the programme are expected to attend, barring illness. If for any reason pupils decide not to attend their activity/prep session, they must still sign out of school via the school office or their prep room.
