Sibford Senior School offers an extensive, diverse and innovative education for pupils aged 11 -18, where all pupils are encouraged to ‘live adventurously’.
At Sibford we firmly believe that each child is talented, each is different, but all are valued.
Fundamental to this ethos is a belief in the importance of developing pupils’ enjoyment and excitement about learning. Students are encouraged to grow in confidence, broaden their horizons, demonstrate curiosity and to think independently.
Self-esteem is enhanced with an enduring sense of personal value and a belief that we all have something to offer. We believe passionately in the uniqueness of every pupil and know it is our job to seek out and nurture their gifts and develop their confidence to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
We achieve excellent results at GCSE and aim to stimulate a thirst for life-long learning.
We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, which reflects our view that while some may have a talent for mathematics, science or history, others may be gifted in the arts, horticultural or sport.
Boarders, whether full, weekly or occasional, form part of a friendly, family community where they are valued and well cared for.
Sibford is also home to a small international community, which welcomes students from across the world and helps them to learn and perfect their language and academic skills.
A year ago we made the decision to move our children to Sibford and we are extremely grateful that we did. We were concerned that they were becoming bored in the state system and losing their enthusiasm for learning, but that certainly hasn’t been the case at Sibford.
