This year’s Year 13 students are celebrating their achievements in BTEC Countryside Management after obtaining a Distinction*, Distinction and Merit. This is the equivalent to an A*, 2 A’s and a C at A level.
Throughout their studies, the students have enjoyed practical conservation tasks both on and off the school site, including coppicing trees, planting native hedgerow, clearing scrub in a wildflower meadow and renovating the school’s wildlife pond.
Countryside Management teacher, Hannah Copping said ‘I am delighted with the achievements of my students and the hard work they have put in to achieve these outstanding results! Henry will even be going on to study a related course at Harper Adams University in September 2020.’
