In response to the current situation regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, Sibford School closed the doors to its buildings on Friday 20 march 2020 however the school is still very much open and operational as staff and pupils embrace a new digital way of learning.
Anna Jo Mathers, Assistant Head, Learning and Teaching said ‘These are challenging times but the school and its staff are committed to ensuring that our pupils education continues.’
Virtual learning has been introduced meaning pupils are still able to access the curriculum from the safety of their own homes. Teachers will be setting assignments and prep as normal via the schools Firefly platform, and will be holding virtual lessons using Microsoft Teams.
As a school we look forward to sharing the creativity and resilience of our staff and pupils on social media as they create their own workstations at home and embrace this new way of learning. Make sure you are following us on Facebook and Twitter to see our stories of positivity and the Sibford spirit shining on through.
