Pupils at Sibford School have been celebrating their impressive GCSE results today, with a strong showing of top Grade 9s, 8s and 7s.
Overall, 86% of pupils gained five or more grades at 9 – 4 (or A* - C).
The results were achieved across a variety of subject areas such as science, languages, history and the arts – illustrating the great depth of talent across all quarters of Sibford School.
Rebecca Evans as the incoming Head of Sibford School from September, commended the pupils on this year's results. Rebecca said ‘I am delighted that the hard work and dedication of the pupils has been rewarded with the grades they received today. These pupils have navigated three years of disruption to their educational journey alongside the government's determination to revert to grade boundaries in line with 2019. I would like to offer my congratulations as they continue onto the next phase of their educational journey and look forward to meeting many of them as they embark on their chosen pathways in the Sixth Form.’
Toby Spence, the outgoing Head of Sibford School said: “We have been delighted to welcome back so many members of the Sibford School community to celebrate some brilliant results in our GCSE examinations today. Many pupils have exceeded their expected grades and we are very proud of the tremendous commitment to their studies that they have demonstrated.”
