LAMDA success - written by Olivia Cawood, LAMDA teacher
After what has been an incredibly difficult year our two sets of LAMDA results have been truly excellent and have shown the students commitment, resilience, talent and courage. Doing exams is always a nerve wracking experience but in a year that has created disruption and uncertainty they must have an even more daunting prospect. I was thrilled they were able to go ahead and that pupils now have something to show for all their hard work. I had 40 pupils in all take Solo and Duo Acting exams ranging from Entry Level up to Grade 8. All achieved Merits and Distinctions . I feel I must especially mention the seven talented pupils taking Grades 6,7 and 8. They all achieved high distinctions and therefore the top number of UCAS points, which are awarded for these top three Medal Grades. I am incredibly proud of all my pupils and I am looking forward to continuing their Acting journeys this year as well as welcoming new talent this year.
