Under government guidance, the doors to the Sibford School buildings shut again back in early January, with staff and pupils reverting back to virtual learning.
The doors may be closed but as you will have seen, it is very much business as usual. The first two weeks of home learning saw a variety of exciting lessons and creative activities for all pupils in the school.
- 8RB have started to plan a class production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream' ready for a summer term showcase. They are busy casting, planning, and designing the set and costumes - all from home!
- Year 10 history studied the Cuban Missile Crisis remotely.
- In English, Year 7 have been busy designing theme parks and Year 8 have been exploring gothic literature.
- Year 11 combined science watched Deborah Holroyd's live biology practical demo on the chromatography of chlorophyll.
- Virtual peripatetic music lessons have also started and the live PE classes have been a hit!
Just like last year, even during lockdown, the entire Sibford staff are committed to ensuring the Sibford education continues and that the high levels of pastoral care remain.
